Feng Shui believes that the aura of an auspicious environment can enhance a person's courage and wisdom, which in turn affects the success or failure of a business. So how should office furniture be placed? Today, the editor of Henan Huadu Times Furniture is here to share with you:

There are two things to keep in mind when placing your desk: first, don't place it directly facing the door. Second, make sure the person sitting behind the desk has a wall to lean against, with no extra space.

Avoid placing the desk directly facing the door, mainly to prevent leaders from being disturbed by noise from outside the door and being peeped by others while working; avoid having extra space behind the desk, mainly to reduce the emptiness and insecurity behind the desk for business people who sit at the desk to handle business, and increase reliability.

The desk should be placed with a relatively wide area in front of it, a vital area according to Feng Shui, which encourages openness and broadening of mind. Furthermore, the desk should be positioned well away from the door, which is located at an angle to the left and front of the desk, to prevent direct observation and noise from outside. The desk should be positioned against a solid wall, as the wall, like a mountain, creates a sense of solidity and provides support for the desk.

When choosing an office, be sure to choose a room with windows. Also, be mindful of the surroundings outside. Ensure that no ominous objects, such as chimneys, are visible directly in front of the window. Also, check if there is a walkway. If there is one, consider choosing an alternative. The constant flow of footsteps and laughter along the walkway can disrupt the work of those conducting official business. Furthermore, the office is often subject to prying eyes from outside the window.

(1) Ideal position of the desk

After carefully examining the surroundings outside, the ideal desk placement is: a solid wall behind the desk, a window to the left, and a beautiful natural landscape through the window. This creates a beautiful work environment with good lighting and ventilation. Working in such an environment is sure to foster sharp thinking, high enthusiasm, and high efficiency. A door in the front right corner of the desk will also minimize distractions from outside noise and prying eyes. If the office door is in the upper left corner, the desk can be repositioned accordingly for equally effective results, regardless of the so-called auspicious direction based on the zodiac sign.

(2) Taboos in desk arrangement

The taboos in office desk arrangement mainly refer to inappropriate placement, which will make leaders or business people feel uncomfortable when working.

There are five main taboos in desk arrangement:

1. Avoid sitting with your back to the door

Placing the desk directly opposite the door and having people sit with their backs to the door is the first thing to avoid when arranging a desk.

2. Avoid sitting facing the door

Placing your desk on the right side of the door, with the desk and door at an angle, is a taboo against sitting sideways to the door. This will disrupt your work, reduce your efficiency, and affect your health.

3. Avoid walking near windows

If you place your desk under a sidewalk window, it is equivalent to placing it under evil spirits, and it will often be peeped at by others passing by.

4. Avoid sitting with a window behind you

If the desk is placed parallel to the window, the seat is placed between the window and the desk, and the window is used as a screen. This kind of desk placement should be avoided.

Sitting by a window is not good for business. Frequent drafts can cause discomfort in the back throughout the day, which can become disturbing. Cold winds can also cause imbalance and illness. Light from the window shines in from behind, creating backlight, which impairs vision.

Sitting with your back to the window provides no solid support. If the windowsill is too low, there is a risk of falling, which should be avoided.
