Sofas are essential to our homes. Compared to wooden sofas, leather sofas are more comfortable, softer, and more flexible. However, leather sofas are prone to mildew and hardening. If not properly cared for, they can lose their luster and, in severe cases, even deform. Therefore, it's crucial to maintain your leather sofa on a daily basis.

1. Daily cleaning of the sofa

The daily care of leather sofas is actually not difficult. You can first use a vacuum cleaner to remove the dust on the surface of the sofa, then gently wipe the leather surface with a wrung-out wet towel, and clean the sofa with leather cleaner once every 2-3 months.

Be careful not to wipe the sofa with alkaline cleaning liquid, because the leather is treated with an acidic process during leather making. Alkaline liquid will reduce the softness of the leather and cause wrinkles and cracks after long-term use.

Gently wipe the surface of the sofa with a velvet cloth dipped in egg white. This can not only remove stains but also make the leather surface as bright as before.

2. Alcohol stain removal method

If you find oil stains, ballpoint pen, ink and other stains on the surface of the sofa, you should immediately clean it with leather cleaner, or use a clean white towel dipped in a little alcohol to gently wipe the stain, then wipe it dry with a dry towel, and then apply protective agent.
