Several situations where a safe cannot be opened and their solutions.

There are many common questions and answers regarding the use of safes and security cabinets. Below, the editor from Henan Huadu Times Furniture has summarized some frequently asked questions to help you solve them yourself, saving you a lot of unnecessary trouble!

There are usually several reasons why a safe cannot be opened.

1. If the door cannot be opened after following the correct operating procedures, and the green light flashes briefly followed by a red light, it indicates insufficient voltage. The batteries should be replaced promptly for normal use. (This is the most common situation.)

2. If you follow the correct operating procedures to open the door, the green light illuminates, and you hear the click sound, but the door doesn't automatically open, this might be due to the door being stuck or glued shut. Try holding the safe upright towards you and gently tapping the door panel with your palm. Alternatively, wrap a small blade in cloth, insert it slightly into the door frame edge, and pry it outwards to loosen the door. The door should then open. It could also be that the spring lever isn't strong enough to open the door. Use the emergency key to open the door and adjust the spring lever to the appropriate position. Or, check the four sides of the small door to see if the gaps are even. If one side is too tight or the small door is sagging, the door won't open automatically. In this case, add a small shim to the hinge to raise the lower edge to the appropriate position. (If you are unfamiliar with the internal structure of the safe and cannot do this yourself, please contact after-sales personnel for assistance.)

3. If you do not hear the click of the door opener or only see a flashing yellow light during the opening process, it indicates that the safe's working stroke has not been completed, or that a component malfunction has prevented the transmission from driving. In this case, you need to contact professional after-sales personnel for replacement or repair of the component.

4. If the battery voltage is low, the door will not open. Simply replace the battery.

5. If it is not inserted properly, it will also affect the opening of the door. Check whether it is inserted properly.

6. Check for foreign objects in the door gaps that may be causing the latch to get stuck. Remove any foreign objects and apply lubricant to the latch and hinges for better flexibility.

If the screws are loose and the bolt has fallen into the bolt sleeve, you need to contact a professional after-sales service technician for repair.

8. If the combination and key to open the safe are correct, but the safe still cannot be opened, carefully check the battery symbol on the safe's screen. If the screen shows no signal, it's highly likely the battery is dead. If the battery symbol shows only one bar of power and is flickering, it also indicates that the battery capacity is low. Although there's still one bar of power, it's insufficient to open the door, so it won't open.

(1) Simply insert the spare key (the shorter, less frequently used one with the round hole on the right) into the keyhole on the right side of the safe, and then insert the regular key into the keyhole on the left side. Then rotate both keys towards the center point to open the safe door. Next, open the small cover for the batteries on the back of the safe door, replace the batteries, and you're all set!

(2) Another way to open the door is to use the external power supply of the safe (there is a small square box inside when you buy the safe, with a plug end on one end) and insert it directly into a small socket below the number keys on the safe panel (note that the external battery socket is relatively hidden, you have to squat down and look up from the bottom of the safe to see it, or you can touch the bottom edge of the number keys to find the small socket). Install a new battery in the external power supply, then enter the password normally and open the door with the key. Then put the battery in the external power supply into the battery box behind the safe panel.

9. Why can't I open the safe even though the green light is on after replacing the batteries? There are two possibilities: First, the customer's batteries may be low on power. Solution: Replace with compatible batteries. Second, it's possible that the key was turned to the right before entering the combination when inserting the key, causing the lock clamp to jam the electromagnet and preventing the key from turning properly. Solution: Insert the large key horizontally, enter the combination, and turn the key while the green light is on to open the safe door.

10. Why can't I open the door of my newly purchased safe even though the key can be turned? This is because new safes are manufactured with a protective carpet placed on the lower left corner to protect the paint on the door. When the key is turned to the open position, hold the large key handle with your right hand and pull the carpet outward with your left hand.
