Use a clean, lint-free cloth, dampened and wrung out, to wipe the cabinet. Avoid using hard, rough, or unclean cloths, as these can damage the surface.

2. Selection of cleaning agents

Do not use alcohol, gasoline, or other solvents containing chemicals to remove stains from steel filing cabinets. Instead, use warm tea to wipe away the stains. After the area dries, apply some furniture wax to the affected area. Then, gently buff the surface several times to form a protective film.

3. Avoid scratches from other hard objects.

When cleaning, avoid placing cleaning tools in direct, heavy contact with the filing cabinet. Also, be careful to prevent hard metal objects or other sharp tools from colliding with the furniture and to protect the surface of the filing cabinet from scratches.

4. Avoid damp environments

If dampness occurs indoors during the summer, it's advisable to use thin pads to insulate the bottom of the filing cabinet from the floor. Ideally, move the back of the cabinet away from the wall to create a gap, preventing direct contact. This will provide some moisture protection for both the bottom and back, preventing any impact on the use of the steel filing cabinet.
