Steel filing cabinets are made from hot-rolled steel coils, rolled at room temperature below the recrystallization temperature. Cold-rolled steel sheets have a smooth surface and excellent processing, and are processed into steel filing cabinets through shearing, bending, welding, and spraying. Generally speaking, the thicker the sheet metal, the better the load-bearing capacity of the filing cabinet, and the less likely the stored documents are to deform. So what are some common problems with steel filing cabinets and how can they be resolved? Below, the editor from Henan Huadu Times Furniture will introduce them to you.
1. Problem: Drawers do not slide smoothly;
Cause of failure: Impurities or lack of lubricating oil in the slide rail;
Troubleshooting method: Open the filing cabinet drawers and remove any debris. Apply lubricant to the drawers; cooking oil (such as regular cooking oil) can also provide lubrication. Note that this process may contaminate items inside the cabinet.
2. Fault: The cabinet is unstable and wobbles after placement, and makes abnormal noises during use;
Cause of the malfunction: This malfunction may be caused by the cabinet's four legs not being properly balanced on the ground;
Troubleshooting: It is recommended to rotate the adjusting foot nut or place a hard object in the gap between the cabinet and the ground to eliminate the problem.
3. Malfunction: Lock, cannot be locked or cannot be opened.
Possible causes of the malfunction: A. The door or drawer failed to reset; B. The lock bar or latch is stuck.
Troubleshooting methods: Open and close the door or drawer several times with moderate force to observe the cause of the malfunction. Tap the cabinet body gently with your hand or press down with a screwdriver to reset the lock.
4. Problem: Uneven gaps between cabinet doors;
Cause of the malfunction: The cabinet is not placed horizontally.
Troubleshooting method: It is recommended to rotate the adjusting foot nut or use a hard object to shim the gaps between the cabinet and the ground. The method is the same as the first fault, but it should be noted that the adjustment should be made in the opposite direction.
